Mumbai International Motor Show
The times of India along with zigwheels ended their 4day event at BKC with not so good a response from the visitors. Their endorsement was with a Lamborgini but sadly there was none on display in the event. Same was the case with the Fiat 500. Their event has definitely not been as great as it was last year, the expectation from the car maniacs like me was really high to which they have definitely not lived up.
The worth watch was the BMW 650 shining right with the X5 and the Volkswagen with their bright red beetle and Touareg , Volvo also had in their range an swanky white SUV and their saloon and Force India with their f1 car on stage. And in the bikes was the all famous Duccati
Mahindra seemed to have owned half the space there, with their dirt ride running the Scorpio’s and Baleno and inside was the Xylo on display. The dirt ride was a treat to watch.
Also on display was the Mitsubishi with their Cedia, Pajero and Outlander. Maruti with their new A-Star. Honda with their City, CRV and the new accord. Reva also was promoting its electric car. Toyota with their Altis and camry.
And for the kids rather the rich kids was the remote operated car for sale, a remote control car for sale in such a big exhibition? Nah this was not just a normal one, this one which they were selling runs on petrol and goes upto a speed of 120km/hrs. Woh!!! Now that’s a lot of speed!!! And the range of the remote? That’s till wherever you can see this small car running.
The event was organized well but had cars which we can see on Indian roads except for a few eye catchers. The users came out with disappointment as compared to last year but we hope for their next year event with new and exciting cars.
