Mahindra and Mahindra are out with their latest innovation in automobile manufacturing. The Xylo, the mean machine is ready to knock even the Sedan out of contention. The charismatic fourwheeler comes in fours. E2, E4, E6 and E8 all of which are priced variably. M & M plan to retail it with the Scorpio and the Logan. The MUV (multi utility vehicle) is completely an indigenous product with 160 project experts who had slogged over it. It is to be sold by 120 dealers pan India and the projected numbers lie at 25,000 pieces.
It runs on an optimized common rail diesel engine or a CRDe and the company has no plans to run it on petrol. It provides maximum power of 112 Bhp at 3800 rpm with maximum torque of 240 Nm at 1800-3000 rpm.
The best model E8 flashes the following features. It has surround cool dual ACs with roof mounted vents, body coloured bumpers, electrically adjustable rear view mirrors, front and rear fog lamps. There also alloy wheels, body coloured side cladding and it is equipped with Digital Drive Assist System (DDAS). It also comes with mobile charging points, foldable flight trays and an intellipark reverse assist system. The best deal of the car has to be the power window express up/down (driver side) with anti-pinch and a double DIN music system.
