The Tata Xenon XT has been recently launched in India. Being portrayed as a lifestyle vehicle, a concept which India has yet to think of and accept. Already the Xenon XT has already got a foreign presence in Thailand, Algeria, Italy, Poland, Saudi Arabia and South Africa automobile markets.

For the engine it has the 2.2 VTT DICOR diesel engine with a peak power of 140 PS and a peak torque of 320 Nm. The car engine is aimed at reducing emission and fuel consumption which delivering a powerful performance at all speeds. A 5 speed manual transmission and a superb engine control unit which aims at reducing the power of the engine in case of overheating.

With a powerful and a well shock absorbing chassis, independent double wishbone suspension in the front and a parabolic leaf spring in the rear, you can be assured of shock free a smooth ride on the toughest and uneven roads of too apart from city driving too. The small turning of the radius makes the Xenon XT drive smoothly through the traffic packed city streets. The fuel economy stands at 8 / 12 km/l (city/highway) so you can easily drive through the highways as well as the city streets while its maximum speed is over 150 km/h.

TATA Xenon XT is a 4 door, 5 seater pickup, with great interiors done up in charcoal grey and fitted with power steering, power windows, central locking HVAC and outer rear view mirrors which are electrically adjustable. You can also opt for bed liners, fog lamps, canopy, boot lid, rollover bars if you wish to customize it even further.

Ex Delhi, the Xenon XT is available at Rs. 7.62 lacs for the 4×2 version and Rs. 8.58 lacs for the 4×4 version while for color you have four choices White, Black, Silver and Mineral Red. If you opt for Xenon XT, you get a warranty of 2 years or 75000 kms as the case may be.

Tata Xenon XT is aggressively competing with a well established Mahindra Scorpia Getaway and wants to widen its customer base in agriculture oriented states of Punjab and Uttar Pradesh where there is no dearth of money and people enjoy a lavish lifestyle.
